Emmy Mlawer Hollenberg

Bio & Expertise: Emmy Mlawer Hollenberg is an educator from New York; she has over thirteen years teaching in various schools in NYC. In 2022 she founded Your Learning Toolbox (YLT), a company that melds academic tutoring with executive functioning skill supports. YLT seeks to empower their clients to utilize and expand their toolbox of strategies to achieve greatness. Not one strategy helps all; as such, differentiation is not only paramount but celebrated. YLT specializes in crafting individualized plans and supports to meet clients’ unique needs. Tailoring traditional curricula and providing specialized supports to meet the differentiated needs of their clients is what they do best! YLT is composed of trained professionals with extensive experience working with children who have varying learning, emotional and social needs.

Emmy is a certified Executive Functions Consultant for Children and Teens by the Sensational Brain LLC. Additionally, she has over ten years of experience teaching Social Thinking Skills and Zones of Regulation. She prides herself in her ability to consult and collaborate with families to best support their children's executive functioning skills to reach their full potential.

As an educator, Emmy believes that children can achieve great success if they are supported and assessed from a diagnostic eye. Utilizing differentiation methods, empathetic listening, and student-centered approaches, the consultant/tutor, school, and family craft the perfect blend to success with the child at the center of their work.

Fun Fact: Emmy is half Cuban and loves speaking Spanish whenever she has the chance. Two of her favorite experiences were living in Seville in 2010 and taking a trip to Cuba in February 2020. She hopes to revisit both places with her family in the near future!
