Jessica Korenblatt

Bio & Expertise: Jessica is an innovative Literacy and Reading Specialist, tutor, certified Wilson Fundations facilitator, and founder of JSK Tutoring. Jessica graduated from Skidmore College with a dual major in Psychology and Education. She received her Master’s in Reading and Literacyfrom Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a dedicated educator who differentiates content for students to meet learning variances, tailoring content to meet student’s needs. She creates learning modules in addition to diagnostic and summative assessments to ensure students achieve content knowledge and improve skills. Through her experience and expertise,  Jessica thrives to demonstrate a passionate commitment to improve the lives of students, as a caring, collaborative educator whose goal is in creating a strong, lasting, positive impact on children.

Jessica founded JSK Tutoring as a way to be able to work with more children. Having worked with, mentored and coached many incredibly skilled educators, Jessica wanted to be able to meet the needs of more students, and pair them with educators who have similar values, expertise and experience as her. Sessions are designed to be engaging and enjoyable, as well as highly structured and effective. Many of the students we work with may be frustrated, resistant or have lost interest and confidence. There is no better reward than helping a student find academic success, and feel a sense of confidence and joy in all aspects of their lives.

Fun Fact: I have climbed Mt.Washington in New Hampshire many times!
