Jonathan Tannenbaum

Bio & Expertise: Jonathan Tannenbaum is a full-time tutor who specializes in helping students with standardized tests, as well as with homework and quiz/test preparation for math and English classes. In 2009, he graduated from Bates College, and early on in his career, he taught group SAT courses to over 500 students. He went on to become an independent tutor who has shown hundreds of students how to ace the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, or GRE, as well as get A's in their algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and English classes. His students range from eight-year-olds to adults and run the gamut in terms of learning style. His students with dyslexia, ADHD, and/or testing-anxiety have, with his help, earned great results. He always tailors the tutoring process to the needs and goals of the individual student. Everything from the materials that he uses, to the way that he presents new concepts, to the way that he helps a student ingrain what needs to be reviewed, to the length and frequency of the lessons, is customized based on what's best for the particular student.

Location: Based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and available for in-person and virtual tutoring

Fun Fact: He farmed in Italy the summer after he graduated from college!
