Mary Corbelli

Bio & Expertise: Mary holds a Doctorate in Education from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master's Degree in Developmental & Educational Psychology and Bachelor's Degrees in Education and Biology from Boston College. She has extensive experience in teaching, admissions, and school placement in New York City independent schools. She is also a learning specialist and teacher, supporting neurotypical and neurodiverse students and their families in decision-making and interfacing with schools, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other specialists. Mary has an extensive professional network and supports families through referrals to meet a wide range of student and family needs while partnering throughout all steps of a process.

During her 20 years in private practice, Mary has developed an extensive knowledge of the New York City independent school landscape. Mary guides families through a holistic lens focused on what best meets their child's present developmental demands in the context of the family unit, always considering longer-term likelihoods, hopes, and goals. She centers the intersection of learning and social-emotional well-being in all elements of her work. Mary directly works with students and families up to and through the college years, serving clients nationwide at public, day, and boarding schools as they navigate the evolving demands of schooling, sometimes coupled with moves and additional life changes that impact the educational process.

Mary provides a bespoke service developed to meet each child and family's individual needs. She helps families navigate overwhelming moments with the goals of mitigating stress, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and guiding families through what questions to ask and in bringing solutions to life. She believes no one should have to navigate their child's educational years alone.

Mary is a native of Buffalo, New York, and an avid Buffalo Bills fan. She never loses hope!
